Now that I have managed to fix the dryer (two wheels and a belt), fixed the washer (a wig-wag and contact/relay cleaning), I am moving on to my last Kenmore/GE fix-it project... our 9-year old Kenmore Side-By-Side, Model # 363.58552890.

On the freezer door is the ice and water dispenser that does (or is supposed to do) three things: 1.) dispense chilled water, 2.) dispense crushed ice and 3.) dispense cubed ice.

The icemaker itself works fine... the tray is filled, ice cubes are dumped into the bucket.

Right now, nothing is dispensed. All I get is a clicking sound made by the switch (which tested good) when I press a cup to the soft rubber acuator... I replaced the selector switch (Part# WR55X130, a circuit board that allows me to select the thing I would like to be dispensed) thinking that this might be the problem but it wasn't. If anyone knows how to test the two connectors to this board or tell me where I can get a diagram that would be very helpful.

There is a solenoid in the door that appears to be the device that opens the chute flapper when ice is on the way, but that does not appear to be working either. Does anyone know how this solenoid is supposed to measure on an Ohmeter?

The ice crusher isn't working, the worm rod that pushes cubes through the tray toward the chute isn't working, the water valve doesn't open and the chute flapper doesn't open. Nada.

I have been to the Sears site and tried to make sense of there diagrams, but as you probably now, the pictures are not all that great. Does anyone have another idea as to why the freezer door does not dispense water and ice?

Thanks much in advance for any help!
