We are taping and mudding the second floor of our cape cod home. Where the dormer meets the main roof it cause about a 60 degree angle. Corner bead obviously will not work - does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this angle and it be a strong corner?

Thanks!

Trim-tex makes bead for non 90 degree angles. You can usually find it at "commercial" drywall places.

You could also try something called Flex-Tape, which is a stiff plastic tape that can meet virtually any angle.

If you decide to use flex tape though, I would recommend "loading" the corner using a setting type compound, followed by coating with the same; as it is an outside corner and you will need firm support behind it so it doesn't "pop" if it gets hit.

I hope this helps.
