Hello all!
One of my great house mates has decided to put a very hot pan onto the work surface in my kitchen and has thus burnt the work top.
It has produced two burn marks and has damaged the laminate. Is there a way i can cover this up via a cleaner or a repair job without having to replace the entire surface?
Thanks in advance! :(

Sorry but there are no repairs for plastic laminate countertops.

My daughter did the same thing to our counter top several years ago. Fortunately it was in an area where a built in cutting board would fit nicely. Purchased glass type board from HD/Lowes in the kitchen area and a special laminate blade for jig saw. About an hour later burn mark gone and new cutting board installed. Perfect solution!

I think coyotehills provided as good a suggestion as you're going to get. Only other option I can think of is replacing the countertop and I know you already thought of that.
