I need help on insulation for my basement, which is in the process of being finished. I didn't do much homework before starting to have my basement finished, I just relied on the contractor. I'm having questions in my mind now, and am confused about the whole basement thing.
Frame has already been built using steel studs. There appear to be a lot of issues about which type of INSULATION to use in a finished basement, and about "vapor barriers". Can anyone advise me? Have read about problems with moisture on insulation with steel studs. Where should insulation go, what type, etc......Also, contractor wants to put insulation on basement ceiling, others sat that's a no-no. Oh dear, it's all so much Greek to me!
