I have a washer that is about 7 years old. There is nothing mechanically wrong with it (knock on wood) but there are a couple small, smaller than a dime, rust spots on the inside washer tub. We have noticed that lighter colored clothes are getting a rust stain from these couple spots. I was think I could may be sand out the rust prime and paint?? Just not sure if that is the best solution or even what type or primer\paint to use. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Thanks...

I wouldnt see why you couldnt seal and paint them. Just use a oil based paint and give it lots of dwell. They even make applicance paint just for applications like that. Head on over to your local home improvement store.
