My machine will start and fill up, and then stop after filling up. I have to slam down the door to get it going again and now sometimes it won't go right away. I had this problem with my last machine. This one is pretty new. It then goes into each cycle after that though.

Sounds like a poor fit on the safety switch for the lid. You can see the switch by looking at the little plastic finger that pushes the switch 'in' when the lid is closed.
