My 3 year old Kenmore front load washer is leaking water below because the rubber "boot seal" or "tub seal" has been pulled away from the inside of the washer. I can not get it back on b/c the rubber is tightly pinched to hold it on, but it makes it difficult to get back on. There also appears to be a spring that also holds the rubber boot seal in place that makes it even more difficut to attach back to the inside of the washer. Please help! I don't want to call that terrible Sears 1-800 4 my home number again :)

Your going to have to disasseble it a bit... " unplug unit"..remove bottom panel... remove top panel... remove screws that hold door lock/switch to front... remove the spring that holds front of boot...remove 2 screws at bottom of front panel .. remove dispenser... where the dispenser is the is 1 screw in front that needs removed.. remove top console screws not the dispenser screws.. console should pull off foward.. then the last 2 screw in the front top of front panel need removed... front panel can now be removed to access boot and rear boot clamp..... re asseble in reverse... dont overtight rear clamp on boot...sorry for the 800# problems. us techs at sears are not all bad..... screws are torx/metric

Thanks for the great instructions. This sounds like it will work. I was just upset with the Sears Sales guy who told me it would cost me $50 just for the repairperson to pull in the driveway! I just don't like having to deal with computer automated 1-800 numbers...nothing against Sears repair folks! :)
