Any ideas to get out of the D1 mode? I recently cancelled service with a monitoring company to switch to another. When my service was turned off, my keypad reads D1 and Not Ready. I have been able to get the installer code and I can get into programming mode. But once I exit programming mode (*99), it goes right back to D1 and Not Ready. I have even removed power from the system and brought it back up and did the # + * at same time without any luck. I did notice that when I enter the master code (not installer code) and hit the disarm button, D1 will disappear for about 5 seconds, then reappear. Any assistance on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I have a sneaking suspicion that your former monitoring service used their Downloader software to send a system shutdown command to your panel.

You can try *96 and see if it clears it, otherwise your only other choice is to default the system by entering *97. Even then, I'm not sure if that will clear that command. If it does, you will need to reprogram your zone settings (for which you need a 2-line alpha keypad; it can be done without, but it's very difficult to do this for more than one or two zones).

If your new service also uses downloader software, they may be able to get into the system and get it back to normal.
