It used to clean very well.

Now, it doesn't clean well, inside of door is dirty, and detergent powder is caked on soap dispenser, hard to remove.

Dishwasher only slightly over a year old.

Any ideas?

Lots off possibilties... pump not pmping the water/ water not heating... start it and when starts to wash open do fast and see is water is spraying everywhere.. Caution a little water will shoot out to for a quick second...

I did all that, water is hot and it does seem to be spraying, at least from the bottom swivel arm. I could not tell if the top one was working or not.

There seems to be sufficient water in the tub, and it's hot, except the dishes don't clean as well and the inside of the door remains dirty. Caked detergent in the dispenser tells me no water is getting up there.

Any other ideas?

Pour 2 cups of plain bleach into machine let sit 5 -10 mins start the unit heavy wash or sanitize and no heat dry.. see if the helps... they do need cleaned periodicly..
