The ice maker on our Lady Kenmore 25 makes a "grunting-whinning" sound when it is trying to empty ice. This does not happen every time, but is quite annoying when it does happen. We have changed the filter which seemed to lead to improvement for a short time. Any suggestions as to what we can do now?

You may have a chunk of ice caught up in the turning mechanism. My Maytag does that whenever it is not used alot. Moisture somehow works its way up to the area and as the ice is dumped, a chunk will lodge itself and make a grinding noise. Check that out and let us know if you need more help.
