I purchased a home with this system installed. DSC P1555 with a led keypad, model unknown. I do not have any codes for this system and I dont know who installed it. I have tried all of the normal installers codes, 5555,1555,1565,0585,and 6321 with no sucess. I tried a default reset(power down, jumper to PGM1 and Z1) and on powerup the system clicked about 10 times. This is a sign that it is lockedout correct? Is the system salvageble? I need help and lots of it.
Thanks .

Yup, ten clicks from the dialer relay on power up means that the installer lockout feature was turned on. Short of a lucky guess, your only practical solution is replacing the motherboard and starting from scratch, or installing a totally different control and keypad(s). The MB replacement is the most cost effective solution, but it means dealing with the dreaded DSC installer manuals.
