Someone left a cigarette on a sink and now there is a dark brown nicotine stain the length of a cigaretee in the sink. How can this be removed without causing scratches to the sink. Thanks!

I'd try mineral spirits.

A mild abrasive like baking soda and water paste or toothpaste may be effectiving for removing nicotine stain from porcelain.
