Can someone give me an idea of how to replace broken belt on Magic Chef electric dryer. I've already gotten the belt, but belive I need a 'different' type of screwdriver to get case off.

I've found that 1/4" or 5/16" nut drivers are essential for decasing a washer or dryer. The worst part about repalcing a dryer belt to me is the tentioner seems to have a lot spring pressure.

If its not philips but has a lot of points that go out from the center of round hole in head of screw it is a "torx" screw. Alot of dryers are using these type screws now. Dave
