I have a used Whirlpool washer the model is a AL6245VW1 bought it at a used appliance store a year ago. Yesterday I seen the washer hadn't gone through spin and the knob on the spin setting was making a noise. We took the piece off with all controls but don't know what it is causing this. I dont think the washer has a belt we looked for one but couldnt find one.

When u try to put the setting on spin it just make a ticking noise and then shuts off when I jar the knob that controls the settings it acts like it wants to go into spin its almost like a short in a wire maybe. Also there were times when the washer was leaking water it would come out in the front of the washer and a while back it would go into spin but not very well this washer will spin really well when it does. I dont wanna have to go buy another used washer if its something simple. Please help! I'm so frustrated we just bought a new used dryer and a fridge before that now the stupid washer it seems endless and they all came from the same store!!!!!!!!!!! :wall: :wall:

Take the 2 console screws out and flip over the cosole.. unplug the lid switch connecter on the cabinet and check 2 outside wires for continuity with lid down. should be continuity there.. if not bad switch. Set meter to voltage check 2 outside wires on connecter from console for the lid switch and shld have 110v if not timer bad.. water leak may be pump. take 2 clips off both rear corners and tip cabinet foward and off.. pump if at bottom front..Make sure power is disconnected :coffee:
