I have wired two new GFIC outlets in a bathroom were there were two basic outlets before. Using the same wire positions and no other changes. The outlets do not work. Any ideas. one outlet has two black and two white wires as well as the ground going to it. Thanks Dave.

Did you read all the instructions that came with the GFCI? Specifically, did you read how to properly detect which pair of wires is the "line" and which is the "load"? Your symptoms are consistent with reversing line and load.
