Well, after putting the washer up on blocks and watching it run, I have been able to determine that my leak is coming from the center of the outer drum is more than likely a bad tub seal. It is a Whirlpool model LSR7233EQ0 that is ten years old. I have never had a washer apart before and am trying to determine how complicated this will be and if it is worth the effort, or even call a repair man. Anyone with any kind of knowledge on this repair your input would bbe greatly appreciated.

take 2 console screws out and flip console over.. remove 2 clips and disconnect the lid switch connector.. tilt cabinet back and off... remove splash-ring on top of tub.. remove agitater.. remove spanner nut on top of basket.. lift out basket... there are three places that hold the spings to the tub.. remove these screws and the hose from the pump to the tub,, grab tub and lift off... remove seal and install new one and re assemble in reverse :coffee:
