I have a multiple bulb ceiling fixture. When I tighten some bulbs, others go out; I cannot seem to get all to stay on at once. I'm using 60w bulbs. That is what came with the fixture. The fixture is a couple years old and I would rather not have to replace it. What should I look for and how might I fix it? Thanks much!

Sounds to me like you have a loose connection somewhere in the wiring of the fixture. You could try to kill the breaker to the light fixture and take it apart and inspect for any damaged wiring or loose connections that may be able to be toghtened witha screwdriver, but more than likely you will have to replace it. Remember that a lightfixture you like witha faulty wiring, is not worth the cost of burning down you house.
