How well does this product work? Do small items rest flatly or do they lean?

I've installed them in restaurant kitchens and residential pantries
I had to modify (beef-up) the attachment hardware for commercial use but other than that it works fine
I'd think the only way you'd get a lean is improper installation

Slickshift,

Did you use the Closetmaid Shelf Track System? It seems to be pretty sturdy. I have rec'd mixed recommendations regarding using ventilated shelving in the pantry, unless the naysayers were using the conventional 1" linen closet shelving vs the 5/8" pantry shelving.
Did you find that the attachment brackets took up valuable storage space?

Thanks for your interest and assistance!

I'm not sure why someone would have a problem with ventilated shelving in the pantry
Some don't like it, and that's fine
But as for problems...I install it professionally
If it didn't work I wouldn't install it
I install it by request, not because I'm "pushing" it or make more money on it than other types I install
In fact, I make a lot more money on a custom wood shelving system
The Closetmaid is pretty easy to install

The attachment brackets on the shelf track "drawers" take up no more space than wood drawers would (actually it's often less), but slightly more space than open shelving

But that's an objection easily overcome, use just (or more of) the basic shelving-not (or less of) the "drawers"
