I have a pull chain light fixture installed near my laundry area. There is a switch operated light fixture about 3 ft away. Would it be possible to replace the pull chain fixture with a switch operated fixture? The light fixture is also located near the breaker box.

Yes it would be possible. If you want it to operate on the same switch you need run a cable to the existing fixture.
If you want it on its own switch then you need a run a cable to the switch location.
