I have a kitchen top that has developed scratches around the neck of the stove plates. the scratches are brown in color. I think either they are scratches or they could be stain from grease/dirt etc that got settled in an already existing scratch. I would like to clean it or if painting is the solution, i would like to paint it. The paint is yellow-white in color. what options do i have.I would appreciate any help
Thanks

Scratches in porcelain stove top around burners are permanent. Grease baked into scratches can be removed with baking soda and water paste and white Scotch Brite scrubbie or stiff brush, a degreaser, or mild abrasive like BarKeeper's Friend or Zud. Painting of porcelain is not a viable option due to adhesion and heat issues.
