My mother wants a closet done with cedar to put her quilts and things in. The choices i'm aware of at Home depot are T&G , 1x4 , 1x6, and the rough cedar they sell for fencing. Will any of these work or is there a certain type of board that is used?

If I remember correctly,and if your local HD is set up like my local HD, they have the closet cedar in a small section on it's own (though I think it is near the wood, not closet organization section)
There was signs or packaging that says it's for closet lining
They had a few kinds of boards, including inserts (partial lining) and T&G

The cedar sold for fencing is not the same stuff as closet liner wood.

The closet liner wood is the aromatic stuff that keeps the bugs away,
the fencing is white cedar and it has weather resistant properties, but
not the good smell that you are looking for.

I love that cedar smell. :)
