I am replacing a downdraft model range with a hooded range. The range backs up to an interior wall (6"). The ducting for the range currently runs down into the crawlspace and then to the outside. Can I run the ducting for the new hood into an interior wall down into the crawlspace to meet up with the existing ducting. Any special considerations on ducting size. Thanks for any advice.

Its not a common practice so contact the venting device mfg.
