I am now laying the hardi-backer on the bathroom floor. I have 2 doorways that lead to the bathroom. I plan on using a peice of marble as a transition. Should the hardi be through the door jamb where the marble peice will be or lay the marble on the wood floor alone and stop the hardi just prior. Just curious because of the height diff. between what will be tile and the marble transitions. Thanks in advance!!!

Better to have the Hardie under the marble.:)

saddles are about 3/4" thick and floor tile, at least the 12" size variety is about 3/8" so your transition differential will be equal to the beveled part of the saddle. On the outside edge of the saddle it will depend on what you have butting into it as to what the differential will be.
