when i turn on the hot water less than half way it will within a few seconds slow down to just a trickle.if i open it wide open then don't back off to much it will stay on.
makes it very hard if not impossible to adjust the tempature water is to hot for a shower.
both seat and washer were replaced about 2 years ago.any idea what may cause this before i go tering into it again?

loco49,
You might want to try tightening the packing nut on the right under the handle on the stem(1/4 turn). This will help secure the stem to keep it from vibrating back toward the off position. If tightened to much it will be impossibly hard to turn the water on.Good luck.

was only able to tighten it about a quarter turn without over tightening but that seems to have done the trick.
thanks again for the advice. :)
