i have a single handle moen shower faucet....problem is the handle becomes loose ,i take off the allen screw and remove handle.....then i have to tighten the philips head screw that is in the center of the cartridge..then i put back on handle and all is well for a few weeks....does anyone have any expierence with this moen faucet as to why the cartridge keeps coming loose..only about 4 years old.....thanks

It is probably vibration. Perhaps the pipes are not secured tight and they vibrate when used. Or it could be just an undersized screw. I would try some teflon tape on the threads the next time you remove it. It may just need something to make the threads a little larger. Good luck.
