I have a residential rental property that has two-year-old low-pile carpet. I have no idea what style, brand or other particulars, I bought it that way. :o
My question is this: The carpet is about to be cleaned since the last renters and there is one area between the transition from the hallway to the bedroom that has been dug bare by the previous tenants dog (love the little full size "Miniture Pit Bull.")

What is the best method to repair this? Can I repair it? The area is at the doorway about 16-18 inches length wise WITH and AT the transition seam & about 1-2.5 inches wide at the widest portion. What would be a fair estimate to have this repaired by a Pro? I have NO remnants (SP?) to splice within the area....
Thanks for the help and Have a Happy New Year!!

Use some carpet from a closet, and have a remnant patched in the closet or totally replace the closet. You would spend more on tool rental then just calling and installer directly.
