I want to add a dimmer switch to a 3 way light. However I want the
other switch not to be a dimmer. Do I need to buy anything special, or just
use a normal dimmer switch outlet?
Thanks,
Dan

Just buy an ordinary 3-way dimmer (not a single-pole dimmer). Pay attention to which wire is connected to the dark-colored screw on the old switch before you remove the wires, and then connect that same wire to the odd-colored wire on the 3-way dimmer.
Get a dimmer rated for at least as many watts as are being controlled. Most dimmers are good up to 600 watts.
