Hi.

I was standing at the back of my husbands van when he revved the engine, spilling carbon and soot all over my new boots. Any ideas on cleaning them.

Remove carbon from suede shoes with a 'dry sponge.' This is a special sponge found in cleaning aisles that is used to remove soil from nonwashable surfaces. The dry sponge works as an eraser to remove soil.
