Hello, I just completed tiling the shower floor that is supported by a properly slopped sand mix mud foundation. However, while filling the mud, I inadvertently covered the weeping holes around the shower drain. Before moving on to the next part of my bathroom remodeling, I have to decide if it is worth digging around the drain to unclog the weeping holes. Is it worth digging through the tile and mud to unclog the weeping holes? How critical are these holes? will water trap around the drain in the mud floor? More importantly, would digging around the drain compromise the solidarity of the mud floor? Any advice given is gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
