My husband is putting down a remnant piece of kanga carpet in our basement and we just unrolled it and started to fit it into the room, and there are 2 wrinkles in it where it was rolled up on the center core. How do we get these wrinkles out? They are just inside the doorway and don't look like something I want to have look that way forever! We haven't glued the carpet down or anything yet, but just wanted to know if someone knows what we should do about this? Thanks.

Use a knee kicker as you set it into the adhesive to pull the wrinkle out.
I always order a foot or two extra just to avoid this crush at the core.

Thanks for the reply - however how would you use a kicker when it is in a doorway butting up to a tile floor?

Would it work to put a cloth on the wrinkle and iron it out on the back side, or possibly the front side of the carpet? I know it would have been better to cut this section out, but there is no excess as it just fits perfectly into the room in the basement we are carpeting. And of course, the wrinkles show up right in the doorway! Please give me your opinion as to if this would work.
Thanks so much!
