I'm attaching a picture of where my shower meets my wall. I removed some cracked caulking, and there is now a gap between the drywall and the fiberglass of the shower. If I applied caulk, I'm sure it would just sink into the gap. Looks like the original builder closed the gap with some kind of hardened substance that the caulk was then applied to, but the tool I used to remove the caulk also took out the substance that closed the gap. Anybody know what material was/could be used so that I can close the gap prior to caulking?
Thanks.

How big is your gap? Any number of products can provide "fill in" depending on the size of the gap - ranging from durarock to waterproof "bondo" type products....

About a 1/8 inch to a 1/4 inch gap.
