I have already gutted my bathroom which consists of a toilet and tub/shower in one room and a 6' vanity in the room. I have purchased a Kohler tub, toilet, undermount sinks along with (2) sink and (1) shower faucet. I am tiling the tub/shower walls and the floor. I will be using wallpaper on the remaining walls which I will leave to a pro and I have purchased granite counters. I am up in the air about electric heated floors, any advice? Which brand, best place to purchase? My main question is with all I have given above in information could someone give me a chronological order of tasks so I don't "screw the pooch" on my sequence. This is my first bathroom remodel.
Should I install the shower valve first? Wallpaper before cabinets and granite are in? Crown mold after wallpaper or before? Save the granite install for last? Thank in advance, Mike

Start at the floor and work your way up.

You're going to do the tile yourself, and leave the sissy work to a pro? Gee.
Like Jim, I'd start with the floor and go up. That way, you will have the tile walls sitting on the flooring. Install the shower module, but please brace it from behind. I get so tired of going into $300K houses only to have a fiberglas shower enclosure which flexes when you turn off the shower. The plumbers allow the module to be supported by the pipes and the fiberglas only, which is sorry workmanship. Likewise, if you plan to tile the walls, you don't want any flexing. FLexing will cause the grout to crack prematurely.
I'd wallpaper prior to cabinets and crown, especially if I am doing the crown or wallpaper. It is easier on both trades.
Electric heated floors I am at loss on, as we don't have much call for them here in the South.
Good luck with your installation.

I agree with everything except wallpapering prior to cabinets and crown. The next person to buy this house may not want to have the wallpaper in the bathroom (someone like me) and when they take it off its going to cause way more of a hassle than it should. If you are going to have a ‘Pro” do the wallpaper, then they have navigated over more obstacles than a cabinet and crown molding. What I would do, though, is put the toilet in after the paper, that would help the “pro” out.
