Hi all,
I am looking for a wireless alarm system that will protect my house with 27 windows and 2 doors. I was interested in the Ademco Lynxr-en but I found out that it only has 24 zones. From my research, I realize that each door/window transmitter already takes up 2 zones. I don't think the Lynxr-en will fit my need. Please let me if you know of any wireless system that will protect all windows/doors in my home.
Regards.

Fully protecting your place will take more than a LYNX system (which are really designed for small houses and rental properties)

You _sort_ of have the right idea about the Ademco transmitters. Each does have two loops: 1 for the internal reed switches, and one for an external input. They only use as many zone slots as you use (they don't automatically eat 2 slots).

For the number of devices you are after, you will probably want something like the Vista 20p with the 5881H reciever (or its equavalent) which will handle up to 40 wireless zones; The NX-8 with a wireless reciever will take up to 48 zones; the Concord Ultra will take up to 96 wireless zones.

Thanks MrRonFL for the quick reply. Which of these systems provides the best bang for the buck. Also, I am a first time installer, which one of these systems are easier to install.
Thanks.

In general, people seem to find the programming process for the ITI Concords a little easier to follow. All of them use a well tested wireless technology. I would give the Concord and Networx wireless a bit of an edge on things like battery life (both use the same transmitter technology), I think that the Ademco wireless may have a better average range.

Thanks MrRonFL for your reply,
Looks like the Concord Ultra will fit my need perfectly. Can all the GE Concord wireless accessories be used on the Concord Ultra as well? And one last question, does anyone know of a reputable internet store with decent prices for the Concord Ultra.

Regards.

Yup, all of the ITI wireless stuff is long standardized. I've never had to buy this stuff online, so hopefully some of the other readers can clue you in to the better online sources.
