Carpentry and Woodworking - anywhere near South West michigan have good finishing woods?

I need to cut some new 1" by 8" douglas fir baseboards to match up with the old ones damaged by water. Anyone know any good sources in southwest Michigan?
I'm in St. Joseph. The Lowes here has 1" by 6" which I can biscuit together but that seems rediculous. My actual width is about 7" so I'm ripping down...Worse case, I guess I can tear out the entire set of baseboards in each effected and replace with 6" but I'd rather not.

I'd travel as far as South Bend or Kalamazoo to keep my house as historical as possible in this regard.. But I also have a general interest in woodworking, so I'd love to know.
