I have a stall shower with hot and cold handles with a cold water drip that seems unstoppable. I have replaced both of the hot and cold valve stems completely and replaced the seats as well (two times in the past two weeks, thinking they may have been installed wrong somehow) and still no luck. I get a steady drip from the cold water side. I have cleaned the showerhead and also installed a new one but it also drips form the pipe itself with the showerhead removed. I have replaced the stems in the past with no problem. The brand and model is a Gerber 11B-1H/C
I plan on doing a total bath renovation soon but need to stop the drip for the time being. With both hot and cold snugly turned off I don't know what else could be letting cold water to continue to get through. The only way I can get it to stop is by turning off the cold water supply to the bathroom. There is nothing else I know of (without ripping the walls apart)that I can replace, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you replaced both the seats and stems, it sounds like the faucet is plain wore out.

I've had this happen to my customers before and the only option at this point is replacement.

Now, those numbers you gave are Danco replacement numbers. I would go to a plumbing supply house and ask for Gerber only replacement parts......meaning stems and seats and try them as a last resort to rectify the problem.

Well I did as you suggested and went to a Plumbing Supply for a Gerber (not Danco as sold in many home centers) replacement. They actually suggested using a Gerber faucet replacement that had a ceramic disk cartridge in it rather than the washer and seat approach I had replaced so many times.
I removed the seats as instructed, installed the new ceramic replacements and presto, weeks of dripping stopped!
Thanks for the advice, I didn't know that I could use this type of faucet as a replacement. Also thanks to Wallington Plumbing Supply in Wayne NJ for their courteous help to a non-professional. They now have a customer for life (no more home centers.)
