We have one of those faucets where the spout pulls out with the hose attached and doubles as a sprayer. Last night the handle came clean off. I can see where the cheap plastic broke off, so I am sure it cannot be fixed. I wonder though, can I just replace the nozzle or do you usually have to buy a whole new faucet?

It would probably have to be the same brand. You MAY be able to obtain replacement parts if you can find a name on the faucet anywhere. Good luck.

Got it. When I went to HD I saw three similar spouts. The one thing they all had that my broken spout did not was threads. Logic telling me that my spout broke off just above the threads, I bought the metal replacement spout that matched my faucet, used a utility knife to spin out the old threads that were broken off inside the hose, used the same o-rings from the old spout, and screwed in the new one. Took two minutes, saved a hundred bucks.
Granted this is a generic faucet that was installed when the house was built. It might not be so easy with a brand-name faucet.
