Hello,
I have a light fixture in my stairwell that just doesn't look proper there. Forgive me but, it strongly resembles a woman's breast. Since the ceiling of the stairwell matches the angle of the stairs, what sort of light fixture would be appropriate there? Hanging? Surface mount? I would really appreciate any opinions or ideas! :D

A surface mount fixture is probably best. It will distribute the light evenly in all directions. A recessed fixture would probably be bad, as the light would not be well distributed. A hanging fixture is okay, but only appropriate if you have lots of headroom. You will occasionally be carrying furniture and other stuff up and down these stairs, and you don't want the fixture to be in your way.
