Let me me try to explain.
(a) is controlled by its own lightswitch. 5 can lights
(b) is controlled by its own lightswitch. 1 can light
(c) this is where I want to add two pendant lights, 40 watts each.

Can I connect the (b) light to the (a) lights on one switch and use the (b) switch to connect the 2 pendants? Easily?

Sure, use the "B" fixture as the "J" box.

It depends on the details of how those circuits are wired, as to how specifically to do it, but generally it is very doable.
