Has anyone heard of or know a source for a dimmer with aluminum wire contacts. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Get one with leads, and use approved Co/Alr joiners.

I'd rather have the appropriate dimmer.--"use approved Co/Alr joiners....." There are no approved "joiners" that a DIY can use. Only COP-ALUM crimps which Amp Corp. certifies for use by licensed electricians. These are the safest bet, short of rewiring with copper. Suggest you check out this site, and the links to the various repair methods that have all been studied in terms of reliability. www.alwirerepair.com/burned_purples.htm
