Hi - My living room carpet (wool sisal) is about 5 years old. It is now stretched out around the sliding glass door. I know that I can rent a stretcher. Can I just use a razor knife to cut off the excess, or will I have to have a carpet edger type knife. The area is pretty localized. I don't know a lot about stretching, but I'm hoping that it's something that I can do!

Depending on your hand skills, it can be done with a razor knife.
