If you have dark specks in your toilet bowl an don't feel like scrubbing the bowl entirely, scrape the spot with a common drinking straw. The speck should come right out and you won't get comet water on your hands, which is great if you smoke because having bleach on your hands makes cigarettes taste really nasty for a few days.

Thanks for sharing your tip. I like to use a non-acidic bowel cleaner and a cheap johnny mop...non acidic in case you spill some you dont have to worry about etching surfaces as soon as it hits ie: carpet, some tile, clothes...cheap johnny mops...since they are cheap

Johnny mops work well for toilet cleaning. I personally prefer a brush (no metal) because it provides scrubbing action beneath the rim. Both johnny mops and brushes have handles which keep hands out of toilet bowl.
