thought i would change the cord on my drill but got it all apart and noticed the two wires go directly into the trigger mechanism. called and got a new cord coming and was told that these wires can be removed with a small pick or probe, anybody had to replace a cord on one of these ?and how did you get the wires out? thanks mkd55

Use the hard wire from a smaller paper clip.
you need to push a spring away from holding the copper wire (cord).
Sometimes the switch has a separate hole, insert the hard wire and push the spring side ways.
