I have a linen closet I am painting. It is made with mdf. I would like the trim to look like a light oak. You cannot stain mdf. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums
The way I see it you have 2 options
paint it a solid color close to what you want
use a faux painting technique to give it a wood grain finish.
