Hi, just wondering what all you profeesional tile installers are using most these days when buting up your tiles to hardwood, I have heard the newest thing going is to just grout up to the hardwood floor instaed of using ****er and to lay the wood floor first and the tiles second so you ahve a straight edge of the wood to use as a guidline, what are your thoughts

The hardwood is prone to movement at the edge and will be a grout cracker for sure. Keep the tile the same distance from the wood as the other groutlines are wide and use color matching sanded caulk in the joint at the wood. It's in the tile section by the grout.
