I've got a Power 632 (pc1555mx) and an LCD550Z keypad. I've got most of the programming figured out...with the following exceptions.
Presently the system works great...calls my cell phone when an alarm is activated, arm/disarm are all ok.
1)I have a trouble condition of "Communications". It calls my cell phone ok so I know it's not that part of the system. Any suggestions.
2)I have a trouble condition of "Zone Fault" but when I go into it says "There are no zone faults". I have 1 smoke detector in the system (it was wired by the previous owner) and it's zone type is programmed as "Stand 24hr Fire (Hardw.). I have no idea how the guy wired it...it appears to be an off the shelf fire detector with three wires out the top. At the panel there is an EOL resistor and the same comm cable pulls AUX power.
3) The only part of programming I KNOW I don't fully understand is the PGM Output Programming section... When I go to section 009 for PGM1 (my only keypad?) There are 2 data locations - 19 and then 10. I can see in the programming worksheets that these are the defaults...I have no idea what 19 and 10 mean. How do you program all the output options and option attributes. I think I understand now that section 141 programs pgm1 attributes...but what is the 19 for?
Sorry if this is alot..
Thank you for any help you can provide.

First the communication problem: You need to set the communication format in section 360 to 05 (pager format). For all others, the panel is waiting for a "kiss off" tone that normal alarm recievers generate after the panel calls them. If it doesn't get that tone, the system assumes that it's call was not complete.
The PGM terminals are programmable input/output points for the system (there are 2). The default settings for these these terminals is "command output" for the first and "system event strobe trigger" for the second. They can be programmed for a number of things.
Are you _sure_ that smoke detector is part of the system? A system smoke would have 4 wires, or 2 wires, not 3. 3 wires sounds like the standard interlinked 110v smoke detector. It's possible that he wired the interlink output to trip a relay, but that would be a rather odd setup.
The Fault issue: You press *2 and get a 5 when you press 5 again, it gives you no information?

Thanx for the info...
When I change the Communicator Format Options (360) both to 05 it doesn't call me anymore. It doesn't even appear to pick up the line. They were both 04 before SIA/FSK.
re: "The Fault issue: You press *2 and get a 5 when you press 5 again, it gives you no information?"
It just says "There are no faults".
The smoke detector is definitely running off 110VAC...its black/white and the third is yellow...It's a First Alert brand...that yellow does not go to ground though...there must be a relay somewhere..because like I said the comm wire at the panel is also pulling AUX power...perhaps for the relay. I'll look into that more...

Oh...You have the LCD keypad (I wasn't paying attention). Ok, try this instead: Press *2 then use the [<>]arrow keys to scroll. See if that gets you any information.
That 3rd wire on the smoke detectro normally goes to another smoke detector in the house (they are required to be interlinked).
Clearly there is needful information missing to help you out.
