I have an older 4140xmp that came with the house. The alarm functions well. All of my codes work, I do not have any monitoring service and would like to use this alarm locally.
The alarm seizes my phone lines (As it is supposed to do), however, can I disable this function?
I also have a 6137 keypad.
Thanks in advance..
Mike

Yup. If you have the installer code, or can follow the procedures in the faq for bootstrapping an ademco panel into program mode. The installer code can be retrieved by keying #00. To disable the dialer, key *33* and *34*. This erases the phone numbers programmed into the panel and makes it local only. Exit with *99
