Has anyone ever used an Oreck vacuum on berber? Are they any good?

Make sure the brushes don't protrude below the bottom of the machine.

Some berber carpet manufacturers caution against the use of a vacuum with a rolling brush because it can damage the tops of the loops.

The Oreck is the ONLY vac recommended by the Carpet and Rug Institute

The lady who cleans my office has an oreck at home and says she likes everything about it except changing the bag, apparently that gets a little messy.

Thanks for all the input...I wanted to make sure the vacuum was worth the money. Sounds like it is!

Oreck has been the cause of many matting claims, called into the manufacturer. Only to be denied. The brush is not adjustable and hangs out the bottom of the machine considerably

Lets see if I can find the picture I have of the culprit of a combed and then matted 6 month old carpet.
