I was using muratic acid to unclog a slow drian in my bathroom after removing the pipe and snaking it out didn't work. And I spilled some on my new stainless steel kitchen sink. So much for being "stainless" huh lol

If anyone knows a way to remove said stains, and could pass along any info you have, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks in advance!

stainless steel is pitted by acidic cleaners....you can try very fine steel wool and stainless polish..to IMPROVE the appearance..im thinking the condition is permanent

i saw someone post on a thread in here about using muriatic acid for a drain cleaner..a non acid enzyme drain cleaner works the best...or just taking the trap apart

Thanks for the reply. I did remove the trap. but the slowdown was further down the pipe. I even used a snake, and that didn't seem to work either.

I did find some "scratch remover" at a home improvemt store. Im thinnking I'll go that route with the use of fine steel wool as well. If im not happy with the outcome, I guess a will be replacing the sink.

Thanks again.

Gl with it..be patient with it and step down the steel wool as you progress to see if you can polish it to a reasonable outcome.
