Giving cleaning products time to do their job of dissolving scum on showers is a labor saving device. Nonabrasive scrubbies or brushes can be used. Stains from scum and mineral deposits can be removed with a paste of BarKeeper's Friend or Zud (contain rust remover) and water. Apply let set and rub vigorously with damp cleaning rag or white Scotch Brite scrubbie. Depending on severity, repeat applications may be necessary. There are also commercial tile and grout cleaners available. Once cleaning is achieved, keep grout sealed. To maintain, wipe shower after each use with squeegie or chamois to prevent scum and mineral deposits and clean weekly with a tub and tile cleaner.
