I have a new Trane xl14i 2.5 ton unit. 3 weeks after installation the unit started iceing up and the heat output was down causing the aux heat to come on. The service tech replace the defrost board, no help. Then the outside unit was replaced 3 days ago and now it's doing the same thing. Is this a common problem with these units or have I got 2 lemmons.

you got the lem, but it could be as easy as fan going wrong way on unit this would cause iceing as well as low freon it might need a dryer on out side unit if it went bad could be lots of things id call train and tell them your problems they might send out someone who knows what there doing
